Jack
the Ripper was the name given to an unknown serial
killer who committed a series of crimes in London,
England in 1888. The victims in this case were prostitutes
who had reputations as heavy drinkers. At the time
of the investigations, modern technology was unknown,
therefore, the investigation was not as thorough as
it would be today. His crimes were all committed outdoors
except the last one. The first killing happened at
Whitechapel Station, a train stop in London, and moved
1/4 mile across London.
